I am at present setting up a string ensemble in Cornwall which will be playing arrangements of traditional music - predomnantly Scottish and Irish.
I am looking for string players - violin, viola, cello, double bass - to get things started.

I am a viola player (the term 'player' used rather loosely) in Cornwall. It would have to depend largely on where and when. I'm East Cornwall, about 20 miles from Plymouth. What day were you thinking of meeting on?

By way of general interest, in August 2007 I shall be organising a mini Fiddle Festival in and around Teignmouth, Devon.

This will include open-air jam sessions and a pub session, as well as a small conference on Fiddle Traditions of the South-West.
