Haven't been on for a while been very busy and computer broken. Got new one.. anyway passed my grade 5 theory (2off dist) and was shocked when I almost got distinction for my grade four practical..
Well I have started my grade 5 practical and finding the Mozart piece very enjoyable and manageable.
I am looking to do La Chevaleresque and Jackson Street Blues. My teacher said Jackson Street Blues is quite hard. I haven't really got going on the second two pieces yet.
Still need to learn about 6 more scales ( too many of those)..
Well I am now almost three years into it and think the grade 5 will take about 12 months..
The most improvement I have made is in sight reading and would advise everyone to concentrate on this... I can't play very fluently but bit by bit it gets easier.. For long periods of time I did little else but sight read and this helped all areas of my play.
Well nice to catch up with you all again
