I am going to the Early Music Shop in Bradford tomorrow to take a couple of recorders to see their excellent technician and to look at used soprano recorders with a couple of pupils. Would anyone like to buy a contrabass recorder and a baroque bassoon for me? I will do a pencil sketch for them in return.

Thanks. It is my favourite music shop in the entire universe, and I have to keep a very careful check on my budget when I go there. Their technician is first rate too, and seems to be able to make even very inexpensive wooden recorders sound good.

We got our piano from the downstairs bit!

The last time I went it was under Woods name. It has changed to Williams now but still much the same. Pupil got a good Moeck Rotty for£170 and other pupil and I got music and CD's and I have left two of my babies with the technician. Played a contrabass too. I still want one, and so do my pupils now!
