Op.1 no.1 in Eb is the one I was talking about. no.3 in C minor is great, too.
The Eb is an excellent choice, more interesting for the 'cellist than most Haydn.

The whole piece is very fine. However, the other three movements are very hard for the pianist, above Grade 8 standard IMO.
Hans Keller reckoned that there were three successful piano trios,* this and the other Mendelssohn (C minor) being two of them. I believe his other choice was by Schubert. His criteria inluded writing that allowed the 'cello to be heard satisfactorily against the sound of a modern piano. Of course, it's not fair to criticise Mozart and Haydn for not achieving this, because they were writing for pianos with a very different and much lighter sound.
