The title says it. I would like to send a piano accompaniment file to one of my students to practise with. She has an Ipod. will .mp3 work, or does the Ipod need something else?
oboebunny
.mp3s will be fine smile.gif

Thanks, oboebunny.

You can transfer any audio file from anywhere on your computer to Itunes.

Talking of Ipods, I've just bought one (a nano) and have put all my music into Itunes. It's a fantastic tool for taking to school; you can use it with an amplifier and access all your backing tracks that way. It saves all the bother of taking CD's around and switching them round all the time. What a lovely little thing is an Ipod

Does that include ogg vorbis audio files?? If so, I may consider upgradng my battered MP3 to an Ipod.

Oh dear..... I seem to be confusing you a lot, albeit unintentionally ph34r.gif

An Ogg vorbis is an audio file like MP3, but its of a higher quality and also much easier for me to deal with than MP3, because I use linux and MP3's need special library files for me to use them.

Sorry. I'm still boggled. What's that phrase - 'too much information'?

Does anyone know a media player that plays *.ogg files?...

Some audio files on Wikipedia require this...
