Juts back from my annual week long fishing expedition. Some nice fish, and wonderful autumn scenery, but it was very cold, particularly towards the end of the week. Also had some incredibly windy days.

Didn't get a picture of the biggest fish, 'cos I was in the boat on my own and it was nearly dark. But this one wasn't bad!

As usual, a week in a boat hauling anchors and rowing really does tertrible things to your hands. I could hardly play the piano when I got back!

Kept a smaller one that's going to be eaten at a dinner party!!

Although we don't regard them as "eating" fish, pike are veiwed as a delicacy in most European countries. BBQ pike with German potatoe salad is really good!!
