Right, have now thought of a suitable date for this year's awards ceremony. I was thinking of doing it on the 17th November (which is a Friday) at around 2000 GMT, because many of us will of course be wanting to watch the X-factor or Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night, and I think it will take longer than an hour to do (while the phone voting is going on) as there are more categories than last year. Then it just dawned on me that Children In Need might be on TV on the 17th, and I'm not sure how many people will want to watch that.

Please state in this thread if you are able to attend the ceremony on the evening of Friday 17th November. I will make a list below this post so you can see how many people have said "yes", "no", or "not sure". If this date doesn't prove very popular, I may possibly have to change it to the 24th. Once there are enough responses, I will be able to confirm the details, and say if it will go ahead that evening.

If you have won an award, you need to compose a speech ready for the awards ceremony. Your speech doesn't have to be terribly long; something short will do. If you are unable to attend the awards ceremony, drop me a PM with your speech, and I'll post it on the day for you. You will be able to find a list of the winners on the awards section of my profile. I will also post a list of the polls and winners in the main awards thread next week.

I have'nt won anything but I am unable to attend, as I am at my brass band until 9:30 on a Friday......

I *should* be able to come, but if I win my class at the music festival on Saturday, I might not be able to.

I'm not sure if I'll be around, I might have band practice but I really don't know, organisation is not our strong point...

Trouble with weekends around this time of year is that a lot of people (myself included) will be out doing other things....

Perhaps it's worth picking a Monday-Thursday date CE. And bear in mind, you'll never get a date that everyone can do......

How lucky!!! I'm starting to be green of envy...

I am very lucky - I didn't think I'd be able to go, but my late afternoon student has cancelled her lesson for that day as her school has a day off.

I can't do Monday or Wednesday evenings, and I have choir concert on 24th and 25th. How about the 21st?
