Full Version: What Do You Think Of Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here?

I am just watching Im a Celebrity. What do you think of it this time? I think the best part is Ant and Dec. I have never heard of most of the people in there but I do think it is funny.
recorderzrule
I've only heard of 4 of them - Jason Donovan, Matt Willis, Mylene Klass and Toby Anstis. Ant and Dec are definitely the best bit! I hardly watch it.
mrbouffant
It's the worst kind of television. Drivel. It's tabloid programming of the lowest denominator. I'd rather watch my wife cut her toenails and then eat what she dropped on the carpet...
Soph15
What is Scott famous for??
maggiemay
what I think of it is not printable on a public forum!

sorry ...
: )

I think Toby Anstis will win.

Does anybody else find the use or rather abuse of insects and fish offensive in programmes of this sort? I know that I do. It is the worst sort of entertainment on TV and I cannot imagine why anyone would want to watch it, or other programmes like it.
maggiemay
yes, I find that offensive.

I always remember seeing (aargh I forget his name) - (ed Llewellyn-Bowen) in changing rooms brush aside a spider and not caring that he'd injured it. Not good enough, and sets a really bad example. My son was appalled, I'm glad to say.
superpyroman
what's the attraction in seeing famous people being covered in stuff that they don't want to be covered in?
Piano gurl
my opinion: absolute RUBBISH.
even worse than big brother! tongue.gif

By far the worse is Celebrity Love Island!!
harpist
I've tried watching it but I don't think its very good! Strange cos I'm usually addicted to BB!
Charlies Aunt
Hate it, hate it ,hate it!! ph34r.gif ph34r.gif It should be renamed "Im An Old Hasbeen that Nobody's Heard of For YEARS But I'm Now Short Of Money And Despearate For The Publicity".

Why put "Celebrity" in the title when they clearly aren't? ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

**Sorry- I've been spending too much time on OLTVA. Am a grumpy old Hector today** mad.gif
nannyjay
I have only ever watched about 3 minutes of it, and the inevitable publicity footage of course which can't be avoided. Dreadful drivel in my opinion. Sorry, anyone who likes it.
The Old Lady
Complete and utter tripe. Like all the other programmes mentioned.
Beverley.

My Grandad used to like tripe.

I have much better things to do with my time... Anyway, SCD and related programs pretty much fills up my TV quota at the moment tongue.gif

Tripe and onions was a very popular dish years ago. Our gardener used to have it for supper at least twice a week. Being a veggie though I have never tried it.

No the white stuff you can eat with vinegar (or cooked with onions)

I'm stuck at home with a stiff neck (aaarrrgh) so thought I'd have a look in here.

Well sorry to disagree with you folks but I absolutely LOVE it!!! My partner and me watch it every time and he normally hates reality shows. I HATE Big Brother by the way.

What I/we love about Jungle is the way you see people you may already have ideas about stripped down to their essentials plus the way they relate to each other without all the normal props of fame/celebrity/whatever. It's fascinating in an anthropological way too, watching how alliances form and how group dynamics develop. I also think it's great how the all-round nicest people always win and they're not always the people you expect (to be the nicest). Carol Thatcher was great fun to watch last year, as was Paul Burrell before that, and Tamara PT way back in the beginning.

It's more of an idea that half of the people on the prog think they want to be famous although as we can see nobody's heard of half of them.
There are better ways of making bids for popularity than being covered by poor, unsuspecting insects! mad.gif
As you can probably see, I HATE this programme (although can sort of see the addictiveness) and thik that Ant and Dec need their heads examined... blink.gif
