We've used a fair few over the last six years. We've got BT broadband at the moment and find them competively priced and it works!

Thanks, so would you reccomend it for others? We are on orange and have been having trouble connecting this weekend, so my Dad wants to change to a better one.

We've never had a problem with Zen. They're always in the top handful for customer satisfation too.

Don't use NTL!!!
We had problems for ages and ages with ours, it hardly ever connected. They later discovered (after many phone calls and a lot of frustration) that all they had to do was adjust some level of something in a box at the end of the street....

I'd recommend zen too. On the few occasions that we've lost broadband you speak to a real person who knows what they're talking about & gives you regular updates on what is being done to fix the problem. And it has always been a BT problem at the exchange rather than a problem with zen.

I've heard a lot of bad things about Orange broadband. Glad we didn't accept the offer when I got the new phone.

Redten have been making the press recently. For a 3 year contract at £19.99 per month you get a computer and an 8 megabit connection, which rises to 24mb once BT enables ADSL-2 at your line. Seems good enough to me, you just have to be able to predict whether or not it'll still be a good deal in 3 years' time.

I love talktalk cuz it's free and works just as well as my old AOL which was £30/month
As for uninstalling the internet? How do you do that?!!!

I'm suspicious of any company which doesn't charge for services yet still has enough money for television adverts...

Talktalk is actually a rival to BT, it offers other telecommunication services so it has plenty of money plus the profits from The Carphone Warehouse. You could say that you do have to pay for the internet with Talktalk, it's part of the monthly fee you have to pay for the phone.

so it's really just a different way of paying rather than not paying anything

Yeah. They might have increased the price of the phone tariff and say that the internet is 'free'. I don't know whether they have actually done this or not but it's a good way of attracting new customers.

Before, I paid £30 to AOL per month for 2Mbps broadband and about £35 to BT per month for the fone. Now I pay £23 a month altogether.. my broadband is 8Mbps and the wife can ring her sister as much as she likes in Canada for free. How is TalkTalk not a bargain for everyone else? It rocks!
