Right then - thank you so much for your ideas on vegetables. Our a to Z challenge continues and we have now reached B for Broccoli.
Please do read our blog and leave your ideas, comments, recipes there on this much underrated vegetable. Anyone know how to give it the red carpet treatment?

Good finger food. Hold onto the trunk and eat the leaves of the little tree. Better still if you can provide something gunky to dip it into. Worry about manners later...

My two favourite ways to eat broccoli are:

1) little raw florets with yummy dips

2) cauliflower and broccoli (very lightly steamed) in a herby tomato sauce, baked in the oven with a cheese topping.

* licks lips, goes to the kitchen...

what about wellingtons mashed up and stuck together in such a manner as they resemble broccoli? it could be called broccowelly! Heres a diagram of how to make it! IPB Image
