Hi all,

Is there anywhere on the site where I can listen to recordings of people playing the piano? I keep seeing references to a recording site but am not able to find it.

Not being very experienced in the works of most of the composers (apart from the obvious pieces that everyone knows) and I'd love to be able to put sounds to the piece names.

Thanks,
Lynda

The forum recordings site (http://www.forumrecordings.co.uk) is down at the moment due to the hosting company having problems with the database server. That is the site that does have the recordings of people from here playing.

If you just want to listen to the music of other composers just try googling, that usually turns up a few results smile.gif. Or, even better, if you have $20 a year, you could register with http://www.naxos.com and have more music than you could possible ever listen to smile.gif.

It was recommended to me on another forum (the Alternative Fora) to try out the classicfm website; it's possible to download tracks for free. You have to pay an up-front fee, but your account will not be charged for the first 50 tracks, or something like that, and you are free to cancel at any time before the first payment is due.
