I was wondering if anyone could tell me around what sort of level 'Raindrop Prelude' was in terms of grades?
Thanks!

It was the "study" on Trinity Grade 6 last time. I heard a rumour that this was a mistake, though, as it's actually harder than this, but by the time they decided this they'd printed all the books! Could be complete codswallop!

It shouldn't do too much if it's played well - it shouldn't be obtrusive at all just kind of there......if you know what I mean.....

The raindrop prelude is in the AB's book of "Easier" chopin works, but the introduction to this book states that none of Chopin's music can be considered easy! It also says something like "even if these works cannot be fully mastered, a study of these pieces will give an appreciation of Chopin's genius"
Fantastic piece of music though.
Has anyone noticed the similarity between a few of the early bars of opening of the Raindrop prelude and "Maria" from West Side Story? The bit where he sings "..and suddenly that name....".

I would have thought that it would be around grade 6, maybe 7.

I would say 6/ 7 too . But small hands won't be very helpful.
