About the Allegro Moderato by Fibich.. (B3) I have a problem with the fingering in bars 33-37. This fingering is on what strings and what position???? I'm confused.

Hi violin-ann,
Bar 33 is in 2nd pos on the C and goes to 4th for the A (4th finger) stays there for the F then down a semitone to E (back to 3rd) (all on the A string)
B34 all in 3rd pos (all on the A string)
B36 3rd pos for the D into 4th for the A, G and E (all on the A string)
B37 still 4th for the C but on the D string
Is how I play it and I think the fingering intends.
Good luck it is a great piece.

Wow.. I tried it in my mind, and yes, it does fall into place. Thanks! My teacher has gone outstation for the National University Orchestra practice and concert, so I'm left alone with my violin. Lucky I still have you, my forum teachers!
Thanks! *Mmwhuacks* Love you all!

From bar 33 I use 2nd pos. for the C, then the notes should fall into place. For the last 3 Ds though (bar 37), I use 2nd finger for the first 2, then go to 1st pos. to use 3rd finger on the last D.
