Any other irish people out there??????????????????

I was born in Manchester - of Irish parents - which makes me an Irish citizen.

I've had a lot of holidays in Galway and Cavan but I've always lived in England.

Does that count?

All my mum's family are Irish and I've had some great holidays there, if that counts. I FEEL Irish!

If you're mum was born in Ireland then you're an Irish national too. But if it's "only" a grandparent who was Irish then you might still have a right to apply for citizenship, see http://www.oasis.gov.ie/moving_country/mig...or_descent.html

Nah, my mum was born in England. My maternal grandfather was born in the North (of Ireland) and my maternal grandmother in Eire.

Looking at those rules, I think I could claim citizenship though.......
