Jack's a great guy, not just his violin playing but as a person too. I've only met him a couple of times - but very approachable and easy to talk with.

He's also part of a Lecture-Recital project called 'Superstrings', which he runs in collaboration with Oxford physicist Brian Foster. See Here

I did try to get enough people together in one go to run one of the sessions at NPL - the location of the February 2007 Adult Learners Concert.

I went to one of the 'Superstrings' lectures - a great way to get a free ticket to one of his performances, but I think the physics part of the lecture was too complex for some of the audience to understand. I sat only about six feet away from him when he was performing smile.gif He seemed very approachable. I liked the way he involved himself in the 'Superstring' project. He seemed to be genuinely interested in the physics and in playing to people who maybe wouldn't normally go to his concerts. He came across as a nice guy.

Enjoy the performance VN.

No one's going??? ohmy.gif No one's supporting home-grown BRITISH talent as the papers put it today (abt Andy Murray, the tennis guy)? Pity, you folks could meet me, too, you know. biggrin.gif I am potential home-grown talent or some day I will be... tongue.gif Had better go.

Don't worry, I will make sure I go to see you perform when you are famous!

Hi PV and EW,

Thanks for your support! VN's nagging me to bed now so I'll be short!

I'm looking fwd to it very much as I LOVE the piano and the pieces are, I believe, all sonatas. smile.gif
