Full Version: Coordination Excercises

I've played through various excercise books and pieces designed as excercises over the years and I've come to realise that almost invariably they are aimed at strengthening the fingers and making them agile. That, of course is very worth while, but in my experience I've come across few excercise books that specialise in giving the player more experience with different syncopated rhythms between the hands (perhaps with the exception of the sight reading excercise books which give you rhythms to tap out) I was wondering if anyone knew of such a book they could recommend to me as one of my aims as a pianist is to have complete freedom between my hands and have them working wonders independantly of one another tongue.gif (don't set my sights high at all, do I? rolleyes.gif lol smile.gif)

Any help of this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if Jazz Hanon might help.
