It wasn't a great start because my mum and three eldest kids have all forgotten

But, my best girlfriend Ange rang me to ask if she could drive all the way over from Surrey to visit me this afternoon, so I'm really pleased and looking forward to that. We've been friends since we were 2, so she's very special to me.

David's still got his lurgy, so it's going to be a low-key day, and I've got a really heavy schedule tomorrow which I need to prepare for. Got to plough my way through a psychiatrist's report on one of my clients, who's got a session with me tomorrow.

But there will still be time for fun things too, I'm sure!

One thing I realised with people who forget your birthday; it usually means you'll get presents on the following days, which means your birthday is extended!

I shall keep my fingers crossed then!
