skylark
It's pouring down with rain here in Leeds and battering the windows. It woke me up sad.gif
ianporsche
In Didcot its slightly damp.

Last Saturday we were in Soldeu, a ski resort at 1800 M , and in the afternoon it was 24C
fsharpminor
Yes miserable it is in Leeds Skylark.
But what bothers me is there is snow forecast for the Pennines later this afternoon , and I have to drive back home over the M62
petrat
smile.gif In Anglesey it is dry!!!! First time in several days, but it does seem to be clouding over so probably not for long. No sign of snow though.
barry-clari
Not that cold, but windy and damp.

I don't like the sound of the gales being forecast for tonight and tomorrow.... sad.gif

Damp and grey
andante_in_c
Very, very wet as I took No 3 to school. It was so wet he actually took a coat. ohmy.gif wink.gif As our road flooded last year (on the day I was at Market Harborough) I am rather nervous of what might be in store for us, although we have had workmen dredging and reinforcing the drainage channels since then.

Oxford: Raining, cloudy, miserable and a class of Year 7s have just walked into the classroom whence I am sending this message. mad.gif But I have a lesson off!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif I'm off to the coffee cafe.
maggiemay
Wet and very grey south of London. Very windy in the night too at times - I always feel mildly anxious about the trees (well, actually slightly more so about what they might fall on ...)
july
It's always raining in Cardiff. Today is no exception. You learn not to leave the house without keys, purse, mobile and umbrella.
maggiemay
oh - it's so dark here the street lights have just come on!
chocolatedog
Sludgy sleety snow here......in showers.......and not realy sticking..... sad.gif
petrat
biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif The sun has come out here now.
fsharpminor
Theres a bit of blue sky appearing in Headingley (Leeds) now, towards the west.
jm-hamilton
North Somerset: Grey, wet and windy about an hour ago, now it's stopped raining and I can see blue sky coming from the west. Hope it holds, am off to the woods soon with the dog.
littlelady87
I can't actually see outside because the blinds are still down but when I came into work this morning (London), it was raining and grey and yucky AND I forgot my umbrella!
katyjay
Raining, grey, grotty.
fsharpminor
Not a single cloud in the sky now here in Leeds. Bright sunshine.
Its changed a bit since Skylarks early post !
The Old Lady
Brilliant sunshine in Worcestershire biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Beverley.
maggiemay
Please send some of it our way - I have to go out later part public transport part walk - and arrive looking half-decent.
fsharpminor
Hmmm didnt last long - clouds coming over again in Headingley sad.gif
fsharpminor
Just as I thought. Heavy rain mixed with hail now !
andante_in_c
Our two hours of sunshine seem to be coming to an end as well. sad.gif
Malone
Intermittent rain and some snow, but then - we always have some kind of precipitation up here in Aberdeen!
Car Expert

Typical! Today the kids are dead set on walking. I step out the front door and the rain comes down in stair-rods. So after my brolly has been blown inside out three times we give up and go to school by car. Home time and guess what its raining again. There's blue sky at the moment.
Oddball
Lashing rain on the walk back from the station - I get in...it stops...
Soph15
Cold and quite windy smile.gif
YetAnotherPianist
Last night - snow, enough to cover the gritted roads. Mostly cleared by morning, thankfully, as we'd taken a day off to have a bed delivered. This afternoon, a bit of sleet, but that's it. The view of the hills is nice and pretty though smile.gif.
barry-clari
It's just stopped raining, but the sky is still very grey, and the wind is very very strong.
petrat
Still dry here but very windy. Not had the 75 mph gales yet. I hope that they are wrong about that otherwise my hen house roof will be off again!
Aileen
We have lots and lots of snow!!
petrat
They weren't wrong about the gales. They are arriving now and my hen house roof has just begun to come away again despite being weighed down with breeze blocks. It is dry though so I suppose my fields will dry out well.
jod
Bin day here... or shoudl I say rubbish blown all around the village day. I woke up to day to find that the neighbours recycling had blown everywhere. We saw the forecast and didn't put ours out.
SaxFan
Loads of rain here and very very windy.
At the moment it is sunny with blue skies - how long will that last?
anacrusis
Damp, cold and slushy ph34r.gif .
nicki_flute
Windy....we had paper from our recycling all over our drive this morning.
jod
Well the rate the wind is blowing at present I might still have a back fence left by the end of the day. It is doing its best to come down though.
Cyrilla
VERY windy - my back fence has just blown down...

sad.gif
andante_in_c
Just returned from college to find we've three broken fence posts (at least), part of the shed roof felt has blown away, and the cats have gone absolutely wild. They keep crashing through the cat flap and making me jump. ohmy.gif
nicki_flute
Oh dear!

Our fence is tied to the trees to stop it falling down.
willobie
Very scary wind! sad.gif Neighbours fence and greenhouse are smashed and their garden furniture is heading for their fish pond. All the neighbourhood bird tables have blown over but there is a very brave blue-tit clinging to our hanging peanut-feeder...

nicki_flute
Aw. Our bird house isn't going anywhere because there is a cat asleep in it ph34r.gif

Windy, windy, windy: it's pretty much like this all over the country isn't it?

~Wobby~

Yep, windy here too. Most dustbins have fallen over onto the pavement as a result...

BabyBanana
Windy here. sad.gif

4 or more trees has fallen down at school. Because I walk 20 minutes to get to my bus stop i managed to get home all day. A lot of the kids are still stuck at my school because they are waiting for the school buses as they don't know where to go either.
andante_in_c
I've just come back from a meeting at church. An enormous oak tree has been uprooted from the vicar's front garden and is blocking half the road. Thankfully no-one was hurt by it. ohmy.gif
barry-clari
Very windy most of the day - seen at least four trees down and several branches/dustbins etc blown over.

Sorry to hear of the damage caused to various forumites' fences etc. sad.gif
Cyrilla
Thanks barry!

My pretty big and sturdy bird table went over too - and Bagpuss lost her (iron) front gate...

But isn't there snow on the way??? *cheers*
