In Anglesey it is dry!!!! First time in several days, but it does seem to be clouding over so probably not for long. No sign of snow though.

I don't like the sound of the gales being forecast for tonight and tomorrow....

Very, very wet as I took No 3 to school. It was so wet he actually took a coat.

As our road flooded last year (on the day I was at Market Harborough) I am rather nervous of what might be in store for us, although we have had workmen dredging and reinforcing the drainage channels since then.

Oxford: Raining, cloudy, miserable and a class of Year 7s have just walked into the classroom whence I am sending this message.

But I have a lesson off!!!

I'm off to the coffee cafe.

Wet and very grey south of London. Very windy in the night too at times - I always feel mildly anxious about the trees (well, actually slightly more so about what they might fall on ...)

It's always raining in Cardiff. Today is no exception. You learn not to leave the house without keys, purse, mobile and umbrella.

Typical! Today the kids are dead set on walking. I step out the front door and the rain comes down in stair-rods. So after my brolly has been blown inside out three times we give up and go to school by car. Home time and guess what its raining again. There's blue sky at the moment.

Last night - snow, enough to cover the gritted roads. Mostly cleared by morning, thankfully, as we'd taken a day off to have a bed delivered. This afternoon, a bit of sleet, but that's it. The view of the hills is nice and pretty though

They weren't wrong about the gales. They are arriving now and my hen house roof has just begun to come away again despite being weighed down with breeze blocks. It is dry though so I suppose my fields will dry out well.

Just returned from college to find we've three broken fence posts (at least), part of the shed roof felt has blown away, and the cats have gone absolutely wild. They keep crashing through the cat flap and making me jump.

Very scary wind!

Neighbours fence and greenhouse are smashed and their garden furniture is heading for their fish pond. All the neighbourhood bird tables have blown over but there is a very brave blue-tit clinging to our hanging peanut-feeder...

Windy here.

4 or more trees has fallen down at school. Because I walk 20 minutes to get to my bus stop i managed to get home all day. A lot of the kids are still stuck at my school because they are waiting for the school buses as they don't know where to go either.

I've just come back from a meeting at church. An enormous oak tree has been uprooted from the vicar's front garden and is blocking half the road. Thankfully no-one was hurt by it.

Sorry to hear of the damage caused to various forumites' fences etc.

My pretty big and sturdy bird table went over too - and Bagpuss lost her (iron) front gate...
But isn't there snow on the way??? *cheers*
