Hi again, Barry, Carol, Noodle, mwl1, boo and Ian.

Hows the Boxster going anyway, must be run in a bit now? smile.gif

I'm currently looking at a 968 or a Chimaera, haven't quite decided yet!

Make sure you check out autotrader some good deals to be had! What do you need a van for anyways?
Manek
I'm 17 this July... First car...

But unlike most 17-year-olds, I can't just buy something tiny like a KA or a Punto - after all, I have two drum kits to transport!

Ah, so i can't interest you in a sports car!!!!!! You don't want a supermini anyway, RWD is the only way laugh.gif

You could always use the van as a daily driver, then get something for the weekend........
Manek
True!!

And eventually, I'm gonna have one of these:

Yum! Only really had a good look round a Morgan once, excellent motor!!!! Unusual choice though but i'm loving it!

I normally like crazy cars though current "i want if only for trackdays" is a Noble M400, that is quite hmmm sensible for me!
ianporsche
For the Morgan- Ok as long as it doesn't get woodworm!

Welcome back Nicia- the Boxster is still going fine- it blows me away every time I drive it- must remember to change gear when I'm overtaking though- I keep hitting the rev limiter in 2nd (at 70 MPH)

laugh.gif Almost makes TVR's chassis look like the best ever made for duribility!!!!

You can have the rev limiter removed, though it isn't really the best of ideas to be honest and i don't know how it will affect you warranty (probably void it) you wouldn't get much more out of each gear anyway!! Are you taking it on track or on a european holiday this summer?

I'm taking the Alfa to Le Mans this year, going with a couple of TVR's, an old Ferrari Dino, a Porsche 911SC and a couple of other classic Alfa's, if we get there that is, we'll probably be lucky with our group laugh.gif!!!!!!
ianporsche
No I think I'll leave the rev limter as it is tongue.gif
I just forget at times just how quickly I get to maximum revs.
Manek
Lol... I do like cars!

If only I could actually drive...! dry.gif

laugh.gif You need to take it on track if you haven't already, you'd have fun!
ianporsche
I don't think my wife would like the idea really... but I'm working on it.

The Porsche club hold quite a few track days- including a couple at Spa-Francorchamps, that'd be the one to go for

From what i know about the Porsche Club they are really good trips.

I've done Spa-Francorchamps, it was excellent, also done the 'ring, which everyone has to do *at least* once in a lifetime!!!! Drove to Monaco 3 times, done Germany (just for the Auto-Bahn) and Italy of course!

Why does your wife not like the idea? You can get trackdays with tuition and the instructors are excellent, fun and will always seem to get your lap times quicker!!!
ianporsche
Because she paid for the car.
