smile.gif Can anyone recommend jazz books for grade 1 - 2 violin?
Violinia
Jazz Junior Fiddle Wizard by Martin Norgaard. It comes with a backing CD and if you follow all the steps carefully it's absolutely brilliant.

If you're in the West Country I could give you some jazz violin lessons!

No, and by all accounts there won't be a jazz strings syllabus for a few years yet, sadly. Trinity Guildhall don't have it on their immediate agenda either. sad.gif

I'll second the book recommendation, it's brilliant and so much fun

(and if you can have lessons with V, jump at it - MUCH fun biggrin.gif)
