Hey everyone

After years of playing on a standard silver plated mouthpiece I have finally discovered that my lips have an allergy to them! When I play for a prolonged period of time I end up with very sore red lips and skin around them, after doing a weekend's worth of concerts in Germany my lips are now in pieces and I feel as though they are covered in glue!

So my question is does anyone know of where I can find a variety of mouthpieces that are either gold plated or even better, have a plastic rim? I do remember using one in the past and it was so much nicer to use!

You can get mouthpieces made out of lots of materials. Plastic and even wood. I'll try and find you a link to a website which supplies them sometime. Just try searching google for Brass Mouthpieces smile.gif

Try the Kelly range - they are "plastic" mouthpieces and come in a range of sizes and colours!
