I felt that one of our forums' greatest characters really deserved a thread of his own for this achievement.

MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO MRB! smile.gif

I was looking at threads on the "view new posts" option, saw the Diploma results thread, thought "wonder if mrb knows yet" and then saw the title of this one: I must admit to grinning hugely when I saw it!

You are all lovely. Thank you for your kind wishes. I know I like making the forum ladies swoon (something which never happens to me in real life) but the warmth of response has been surprising I have to say. I love it. I'm sorry to bask, but I did put off FR for five years because it scared me so much!!!

I have to say I couldn't have done it without my old darling.. we've been together about 7 years now and done 7 dips together (no. 8 was done elsewhere.. shhhh don't tell her!)

Here she is, the eclectic beauty, a vision of Japanese Oak:

... just careful with the champagne it might ruin the action.

Is she the same lovely instrument your forums recordings were made on?

Blame it on the large quantity of narcotics I'm on at present! I enjoyed your playing very much... and was not drugged up when I heard it.

If the second hand dept at Northams/Ede and Ravenscroft at Waterbeach can supply you with a nice hood and you need someone to pick it up in person and charge proper postage rather than exorbitant postage let me know. It's only a short drive away!

I didn't think you would buy the gown. How pretty is the hood?

Dunno, but apparently it's of the Oxford Burgon Shape scarlet, lined royal blue.

Well done Mr B. That's excellent news.

There are only a handful of FRSM holders, and the FRSM is a fairly new qualification, so I'm not sure that there are many second-hand FRSM hoods in circulation, especially as one can't currently upgrade it following a further qualification. With the amount of work one has to put in to get an FRSM in the first place, I'm not sure I'd sell my FRSM clothes.

Dare you to hire a gown then wear full FRSM clobber for a Grade 1 laugh.gif
