I know I said a few weeks ago I don't trust ebay but I've found a Ypc 62 for under £200. Take a look

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayhttp://cgi.eb...p;rd=1&rd=1

As I'm no expert on picc would it be better to pass this one up and when I can afford it, get a student model like the Ypc 32 instead or is this a bargain not to be missed? The things that worry me are the the fact there is not lip plate and this is what I'm used to on my flute, and the grenadilla - I have no experience of this material at all!

It's so difficult to tell...the person has 100% feedback but knows nothing about music and has never sold anything like this before so should I trust it?

Let me know your thoughts!

We bought our daughter a Jupiter Piccolo from ebay and it was fine, as new infact! I've also been ripped off with a recorder but that's a different matter. I suspect that by it's closing time this will have another £100 or so bid on it. Just because the seller isn't musical doesn't mean that it's no good.

Good Luck if you decide to go for it!

Dont forget the cost of an overhaul, the seller states that it could do with a service, and you cant see how much work needs to be done from the pictures.

That's what I was worried about. The fact that they know nothing about the instrument means we don't know exactly what is wrong with it/needs to be updated.

Thanks

Its over £400 now.......bound to go up more in the next 2 hours so really not worth it anymore anyway!

I had subconsciously decided not to go for it anyhow. But right now it's at £426! Definately not worth it, but I'll be interested to see how much it goes for!
magicflute
Well it has just gone for £426.51!

We had this senario before Christmas following 311 Flutes on ebay, in the end we bought one for around the same price from our Music Service without Vat, they just kept going up so much they were nearly the price of a new one. Or near enough that you wouldn't take a chance anyway!
