hey,
i am now playing the trumpet, but i would like to start a new instrument. does anyone have any ideas about an easy instrument i can start to learn that won't totally ruin my trumpet sound/playing?

tenor horn........it is the next lowest pitched instrument from the trumpet.

or then gain.....you could move onto a cornet.......not much of a leap i know, but it certainly wont mess up your lips!!!

Double bass or viola: they have no direct effect on your embouchure (though they may reduce your practice time) and will last you better into old age. Also they give you entree to many more orchestras and chamber groups.

Percussion's good! Doesn't reck embouchure, but helps rhythm loads, so will even be beneficial to your trumpet playing! Also, it's just generally amazing!
