Me and my friend have decided that we are going to do grade 4 descant recorder, but we do not know anything about the pieces that are on the syllabus. Can anyone make any recommendations of the syllabus?
Chris (I-L) has already suggested
A: Telemann Partita no.2 in G (from ‘Die kleine Kammermusik’): 3rd and 6th movts,
B: Walter Roehr Sonatine no.3: 1st movt,
C: van Eyck Wat zal men op den Avond doen: Theme and Variatie 1, 2 and 3

No you have to do America
My girls have both done Grade 4 but I can't remember which pieces they choose except the eldest did America for list B, the Youngest picked a Jazzy one.

Ragtime Razzle! But only if you've got a good pianist. It gets a bit hairy near the end.

No wonder their Recorder Teacher doesn't want to play for them again

The Valentine in List A is lovely - almost all mine choose that. Waltz for Mo from List B is always a popular choice too.

I did "Waltz for Mo" for grade 5 before it was downgraded! (in the late 90s)

I loved doing the telemann piece its just sounds so lovely. America was great fun to do, got one of my best marks for it. i think its a lucky piece.
