I wanted to learn piano, but i wanted to teach myself. So i was wandering if anyone could recommend any books to me?

There have been a few threads on here recently (and perhaps in the teachers forum, I can't remember sorry), so perhaps if you try a search.
I'd recommend going to your local music store & browsing through the piano tutors and see which one appeals to you.

This link should take you to some good threads about good books to get. Piano Time by Oxford is quite good, but that is just my personal opinion.

I also love Piano Time (and am using that one), I originally bought some 'adult orientated' books but soon abandoned them for Piano Time.

It is possible to teach youself, but you will need a lot of discipline and commitment. Bad habits, especially fingering, are all too easy to develope but very difficult to eradicate later. Do yourself a big favour and find a good piano teacher, at least for the first year or two, if nothing else.
