I thought '-' was your middle name, as in sarah-flute. laugh.gif

Back on topic, I'm bringing a few other pieces in addition to what's already in the pads. Including the Radetsky March we did at Leicester - i think this'd be good as the first piece in one of the bandstand sets. smile.gif

Not as such Nicki. We'll definitely do the solos, would like to do Radetsky, and probably the Vivaldi. I'll decide what else to do at Harborough.

I'll need to write Bb parts for it Jo (which I didn't get the chance to do on Saturday night). It's definitely going into one of the bandstand sets. smile.gif

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable afternoon. Special thanks of course to Meerkat for organising the venue and yummy refreshments and to Barry for providing all the music and direction. It was nice to meet your clarinet playing friend Meerkat. If Skylark and Sbhoa had been there as well it really would have been clarinet domination! Looking forward to 5 May.

Hi, Saturday 16 June isn't good for me either as I'll be out most of the day on the Sunday of that weekend. I've already got a few weekends booked between now and then when I'll be leaving the family to their own devices for the whole weekend. I think I'd be pushing my luck to try adding another one to the diary!

sad.gif sorry that you all can't do the 16th. Sadly it's the one and only weekend date in June of any description I've got free. Every other weekend date in June I've got either a concert (seem to recall something in Leeds on one date in June....), family committments or teaching committments.

There will be plenty more oppportunities to come to MH events in the future. biggrin.gif

barry-clari
Looks like the 16th June is going to be an awkward date generally.

How does Sunday 8th July sound to everyone - would that be a better date? smile.gif

Having a cat on the arms I'd imagine would make typing on the computer a little tricky.....

As well as using this thread for final details for the 5th May, do sign in here with your availability for the 8th July. Times are likely to be 2-ish until 6-ish again. smile.gif

I'm afraid I can't make 8th July - it's the date of the concert at the Yorkshire College where I have my lessons - sorry sad.gif

I've now turned Jo's recorder work into a flexible ensemble work, so we're all set to go! biggrin.gif

The BBC say that the weather will be settling down by May 5th. Let's hope they're right. smile.gif
barry-clari
The long range weather forecast suggests strong sunshine and 19 degrees Celsius for May 5th. smile.gif

If that's the case, don't forget sunglasses (if you need them).

Also - don't forget clothes pegs. Even a slight breeze will blow music from the stand.

For the rehearsal before Saturday's performance, I've booked us the Coffee Lounge at Market Harborough Methodist church, from 10 am till 2pm. The coffee lounge is right at the front of the main church building.

Best wishes
