Hi
Yes, I have just played the whole of the pathetique for my DipABRSM exam, which was yesterday!
I found the 1st movement very hard!

Yeh, I played it fairly recently for a Guildhall diploma - fantastic piece - in many ways, I'd actually say that the 3rd movement is harder than the first

Yes, I'd have to agree with you there. I find the first movement easier to adapt to. I remember I played it(the first movement) for my recital last year and that when I finished, it took me a good hour to try to get out of the church because all these Mandarin-speaking parents (which I can't understand) were flocking me on how to play.

Just finished memorising it (in full) seems to have taken ages, but I still love playing it.

Well, getting the triplets in the third movement even and sounding nimble is pretty hard - also I found controlling the chords after the first return of the Grave a little tricky.

Got to be the triplets, I'm fine on the ones on my stronger fingers but the weaker ones I'm still not happy with.

I just starting working on this peice. It's not for any special reason, except that I really like it. I especially like the 2nd mvt. I love the way the melody flows. It's one of those tunes that gets stuck in my head frequently.

the main melody line in the 2nd movement sounds like a cello playing...so nice.....
