I did my grade 7 violin last year... and it was pretty good. I played A1 (Bonporti), B1 (Smetana), and C3 (Polly Waterfield). All I can say is that for your Schindler's List, you have to be VERY VERY expressive. Like Itzhak Perlman. laugh.gif I spent about 2 hours over 3 days, so that's about 40 mins each day. I start with the scales, then play a piece, trying to improve on it. I don't play all my pieces in the same practice session, until 1 1/2 months before my exam. smile.gif I feel that the efficiency of learning is more this way.

My favourite violin solo is schindler's list!

Is the Mozart Sonata in E minor K304? If so, I've heard my teacher play that in concert. It's very nice!

It will be the K304. I have played it a lot as piano part. Alos I often play the Granados aslo as a piano piece.
But I cant comment on how they should be played on a fiddle.

Schindler's list is such a lovely piece! My friend's doing that for her grade 7 this term and she plays it beautifully sleep.gif

I'm doing grade 7 in the summer. I'm playing the Bonporti, Glasonov and Schindler's list. I find doing expressive and tasteful vibrato in the Schindler's list the most difficult thing!
