I did my grade 7 violin last year... and it was pretty good. I played A1 (Bonporti), B1 (Smetana), and C3 (Polly Waterfield). All I can say is that for your Schindler's List, you have to be VERY VERY expressive. Like Itzhak Perlman.

I spent about 2 hours over 3 days, so that's about 40 mins each day. I start with the scales, then play a piece, trying to improve on it. I don't play all my pieces in the same practice session, until 1 1/2 months before my exam.

I feel that the efficiency of learning is more this way.
