My pupil has left it very late to find a duet for her AS level performance, I think for before Easter.
I think they would prefer something Classical around grade 5-6 , but that they can learn quickly.
I am always stuck for duet repertoire .
Does anyone konow of any good books or pieces worth buying for this level.
Books with Cds are also useful for duets.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Some duets I have played with my daughter when she was at that level include 'Arrival of the Queen of Sheba', first two movements from 'Mother Goose' Suite by Ravel, a couple of the Slavonic Dances by Dvorak, and a piano duet arrangement of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

The Grieg Norwegian Dances are crop up often with my pupils, pretty straightforward, as are the spanish dances by Moszkowski (I think that's the spelling!). The Mozart piano sonatas worth a look, particularly the one in D.
The ensemble performance doesn't have to be a piano duet, it could be accompanying an instrumentalist or singer.

My friend and I played Faure's Dolly Suite in a piano duet class at a festival at the same time as our A levels. Nice pieces and you could pick a couple you really like to do.

I think all my usual suggestions have already been made. You may find some more in the
AB's or
Trinity's piano duet syllabus. Intermediate is grade 4-5 ish and advanced is 6-8.
Edit: Trinity appear to have moved theirs, so the link no longer works

(I found it from an old post). You can probably track it down again on their site if you're interested though.
Edit2: I must be bored, found it
here

I'd recommend Petite Suite by Debussy (one piano), nice late harmony sounds very sophisticated but not too tricky. I particularly like Ballet.

I'm playing secondo for a friend for his AS. We're doing Zadok The Priest by Handel. It's a nice one, but the primo is quite tricky by the looks of things...

I did the first movement- En Bateau. Not particularly difficult, and innocent! I did it with a UVI girl, in presentation evening!
