I've recently found that everything is starting to kick me in the backside and mounting on insane levels of stress. Contributions include
- Poorly dated and timed A level exams (for me)
- Being snowed in with essays for weeks on end
- Orchestra, band and music lessons
- Being dragged into performances and guided tours on Thursday
- A vital meeting on Wednesday
- Constant arguing with teachers
- Trying to maintain a social life
- A large number of concerts and recitals pending
ARGH ITS ALL TOO MUCH!
24th April - A level recital
28th April - public recital
17th May - Biology 3 practical (OCR)
22nd May - Biology 6 Practical (OCR)
12th June - Geography 4 (AQA)
13th June - General Studies 4 (AQA)
19th June - Music 4, Biology 4 AND 6 ALL IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
22nd June - Biology 5

Was it wise to try the audition for yet another musical activity then IL? It seems to me that you have plenty to do already without losing out on any more practice time playing an instrument that is probably only an also-ran. Good luck with the recitals and the studies. What is the recital by the way?

I actually don't do that much musically though. But oh well.
The recital is just a church recital in Crosby at lunchtime. I'll probably be doing some Chopin/Krahmer Variations, a Telemann/Vivaldi Sonata or some contemporary stuff like Bowen, Bruggen and Davis

I found that this time of year in GCSE(yr11), AS and A2 are horrible. We all sympathise - I stupidly said I'd do a concert - why do we do this to ourselves?

I sympathise with you graphics bods. I really hated this bit of last year. Keep on track though, and it'll all come out in the wash.

Problem is we are only allowed to do coursework after school, and well the only night I am free after school is monday and that is the night for staff meetings, so I am strugglind to find time to stay behind. I would do some at home but I just don't have the facilities

Ben - when did you start doing your coursework? I started mine in September, but I heard that the Year 10s have just started their coursework now.

I HATE coursework!! So far I've only got a couple of bits left to redraft... I didn't take subjects with loads of coursework for that reason! More worried that I too will be 'camping out with teachers' with my clashes, thoguh they're not as bad as some of yours!

I have 5 exams on one day in June;
Science and Natural Environment, Science and Human Activity, Interpreting Scientific Resources and French Listening in the morning
and
A two hour history exam in the afternoon!
Plus we have to do them all in the one day as it's a whole class of people doing the extra science exams for the stupid AS course!
