As the title suggests, tonight is the big night! I'm quite worried as I've woken up this morning, not feeling nervous!!! huh.gif I am slightly concerned though as this week has been very difficult (my Nan is seriously ill and was rushed into hospital yesterday) so practice has gone a bit downhill. I've never played a concerto with an orchestra before (well, I've never actually ever played a concerto in front of a large audience either!). What happens if something goes wrong? At the end there is a bit that I have a mental block about and if I don't hit the ending right, it will all fall apart - what do I do if that happens? Plus, what do I wear????!!!! Any thoughts will be greatly received! smile.gif

I can't go and I was going to gah!!!!

You are going to be fine! I've told you this! You're really good, and wouldn't be playing that concerto if you weren't. Nothing is going to go wrong! The ending, erm *thinks*, can't remember it, but I am sure it will be fine!! You''re worrying over nothing, trust me!!!

Good luck Lyndsay!!! biggrin.gif

Good luck Lindsey.

It is hard putting extrinsic anxieties behind you, but once you get on that stage and start to play, you'll be in perfomance mode. Enjoy the experience and revel in the music. I like Binge's The Watermill for Oboe and Piano...its gorgeous and a dream to play.

Yay! I survived! smile.gif

Went really well considering. Odd slips in places, but none really noticeable. My teacher cried at the end! Strange thing was that I still wasn't nervous even on stage, which is something I've never had before, and I didn't go red, which is normally a thing I do if I'm performing or presenting something in public.

Drinking wine now to celebrate wink.gif

I'm so happy! Really well done! Playing that concerto well is not something I seem to be able to do in front of people so go you! rolleyes.gif
