Nice to see you posting. I was wondering how your exam went in the end? You'd just taken it the last time I 'heard' from you...

Love the Blackadder reference at the bottom by the way

That's fantastic! Shame they couldn't have given you an extra mark.

Such is life......as they say

It's the aural... You think you've covered all the bases and then he goes ask you something awkward...you get the vacant expression and then you don't get the distinction..
I was happy that the pieces went well and i settled in and felt easy quite quickly.

Glad to hear that you were really pleased with most of the exam smile.gif

I have been of the forum for a while because of stuff going on at home..moved house, changed job,had flu, had an operation on my wrist to fix it because it's been broke for 12 months, also involved in preparing a court case against some people over a right of way issue and also involved with an unfair dismissal case
So not a lot of time for much else i'm afraid....
And now I can't play because my right hand is encased in a nice plaster of paris argh.gif and to make it even more fun they took a piece of bone from my hip to graft in eek.gif now that really hurts....and i advise anyone to avoid it at all cost

Never mind...What doesn't kill you makes you stronger..

Wow, OMG, that sounds like a nightmare year! Amazing that you got to that exam at all, much less that you got a high merit!

I hope your wrist is better soon. It must be very frustrating not to be able to play.

Exam was last July believe it or not...It doesn't seem that long ago.. I managed to squeeze all the rest in since November..
And yes it is really frustrating being one handed. I can still strum using the back of my nails but i've got to protect my guitar from damage and plaster isn't user friendly for finger picking. The bit about it that is really bothering me is that i have lost the feeling in the top of my thumb since the op..The doc says it's bruising around the nerve and the feeling will return. Two weeks on though it isn't really getting better.
Hopefully and with a bit of luck it will come back.

Hope everything gets back to normal with your hand, OMG goodLuck.gif
