howDoYouDo.gif I'm still here - don't check the obits just yet

Thank you all for my birthday wishes - it was a lovely day - warm and sunny. J and I took Ma Diapason to Southport for the day.
IN FACT, if anyone sees a photograph in a local SOUTHPORT newspaper of 3 funny old geezers eating ice-cream - IT'S US (It is we??)
We had just come out of Rich's Ice-Cream Shop clutching outrageously large ones (ice-creams!!!) when "reporter/photographer" asked if he could take our picture. He wanted someone who was on a "day out" to Southport - and, for a change, not a child covered in ice-cream from head to foot.

The day started off well with me booking a return trip to New York party2.gif on QM2 with five night in between voyages - for May 2008 - J and I have decided to splash out and have a change from South of flamin' France.

Apologies for recent absence. The last two weeks has been particularly difficult and very busy. Increased tuition (shouldn't grumble) and finalising the D-I-Y at the studio ready for selling, not to mention late Aunt's will to be sorted. More exchanging of letters and phone calls than I ever imagined. Plus trips to my solicitor to finalise the late Pa Diapason's complicated estate......it's taken all but 12 months argh.gif

Thanks again for your kind thoughts

diapason!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif <puts down obituary pages, rushes towards diapason, knocks him flying and sends ice-cream flying all over Southport>

Good to know you're well and that the aspiring Fylde Coast organists are keeping you busy. We've missed you, and in your absence created a whole new selection of smilies.

New York, eh? Have a fab time, don't forget my postcard, and remember to check out what's on at the Met before you go.

Look after yourself, and remember that there'll be light at the end of the estate tunnel.

EDIT: Oops, in the excitement of seeing you back, I forgot your present, so here it is! Cheers wacko.gif

Hi Deborah biggrin.gif

Champagne......mmmmmmm - will you join me in a glass? (it would have to be a LARGE glass!!)

Hope to be a little more "present" on the forums soon. It has been SOOOO hectic. Is there a Forum Padded Room for Primal Screaming?

As if you needed to ask! <contemplates reaching for yard of ale glass but in the end reaches for a pint glass>

Thinks: mmm, yard of champagne! yay.gif wacko.gif Not sure I could beat the ex-army friend who managed a yard of ale in NINE SECONDS blink.gif

Hello Diapason. I had wondered if you would make an appearance on the BBC doco where Jo Brand learned the organ last week... half expected to see you giving the Blackpool Ballroom organ a good tickling just before she had a go! wink.gif
Choddy
I'll check my local wink.gif

Glad you had a great day!

happyBirthday.gif for whenever it was!
