I'm an adult learner. I played the piano as a child until the teacher wrote to my mother to say I was wasting her time and my mother's money through lack of work.
I started cello lessons November before last and I'm supposedly taking my Grade 4 soon but I've never played in front of anyone other than very close family and my teacher! I spend hours working on pieces and scales (I'm a bit more commited than when I was a child) and have recently taken my Gd 5 theory. It was in the coldest place I’ve ever taken an exam in but it must have sharpened my brain because I managed to get a decent mark. I've read the forums for quite a while now but struggled to register so thank you for helping me Katyjay and CMorris.
