Hello everyone.

Have just heard that I passed my garde 3 singng exam with AB gaining 114 marks.

Is this a good mark? I am just pleased to have passed it.

Now working towards next grade.

I wrote this in your other thread but I'll say it again

Anything above 100 (pass mark) is good, grades are not easy, so well done.

They're out of 150

100-119 = pass
120-129 = merit
130-150 = distinction

Remember to take time to enjoy repertoire and enjoy singing and not just jumpt from grade to grade

114 is a really solid pass and six marks off a Merit.

I'd advise you to read the comments carefully and see where you did well and where you perhaps lost some marks to help you in the future but this is a good pass.

Well done JoAnne, definately a good solid pass

Reitterating what has already been saud...look at the comments and see where you can improve to make the next grade more comfortable and do it for self motivation also. I have looked at the comments from my grade 8 and putting all the things that she said improve on into my recital...and to make it even more of a challenge I have put those improvements to make in mu programme notes under the relevant repertoires for the audeince to look out for (as well as my singing teacher who will be sitting at the back of the live room)!

Hey. i just did my grade 3 last summer. which songs did you do? 114 is quite good. i can't remember how many i got but i got a merit. congrats anyway! i'm doing my grade 4 this term. im really nervous!!
