! It's a normal-ish day for me today as the new term has begun, though my last two pupils of the day (two brothers) are away - which is nice as it means I can finish early! Then we're going out for a meal with friends.
I'm looking forward to trying out some of the new clarinet music I've received
I do like the choir smilie - in fact I'm going to add one or two myself, even though it means typing in the text - yay!

We've just got back from our meal out - it was a bit of a disaster, actually! We'd intended to go down the road to a Nepalese cafe/restaurant which has rather more unusual food than the normal Indian cuisine. We had arranged to meet our friends there, but when we arrived it was closed - no indication as to why.
We waited for what seemed like ages, then one friend turned up - he had arrived early, seen that it was closed and hared off to our house to tell us - missing us by about 5 minutes - and then returned. Shortly afterwards our other friend arrived at last. In the meantime we had decided to try a Turkish place that none of us had been to previously. We arrived there only to be told that it was closing early and they weren't doing any more meals. So we thought we'd try the local Thai, even though it is a bit expensive - and guess what - that was closed till the 26th! So out of desperation and hunger we ended up at the Chinese buffet place which we don't really rate very highly
Still, I had a nice day on the whole, and it was good to see the pupils again after the break

It was excellent when it first opened, but we've found that both the service and the general quality of the buffet have gone down noticeably since then.....

The same thing happened with one of the buffets in Durham - great when it first opened, then the food became a bit less good, then people got food poisoning
. It's changed hands now, if I recall.
