The Old Lady

The Old Lady has never been entirely sane anyway, neither has Beverley come to that. However, both of them can offend Petra/Addy at the drop of some drawers.

The Old Lady has been sucked in by the madness. Abandon hope all ye who enter here

No, no, she's just come over to this thread because they're talking about lions on the other one, and hamsters, camels and bees and the like are much less frightening than lions!!

Are camels afraid of hamsters? Sue is thinking of elephants and mice. One can't be too careful with the livestock

Hamster's just taken a swig of the red wine now, he can't cope with all these big monsters.

Petra wishes it top be known that she rarely partakes of alcohol of any kind and is simply rolling around with much mirth. She wishes to convey to The Old Lady that her camels were metaphysical ones and, as such, may well grow thin and scrawny. Petra is rather puzzled by the use of the word "Snae" also and wonders if it is of Gaelic extraction.

She realizes that this has now been edited and is no longer puzzled.

Now steady on, red wine is very bad for hamsters. He should pass the bottle back to his companion immediately.

Unfortunately, Beverley has partaken of the rose wine this evening at her recorder group, and unlike the Old Lady, cannot hold her drink.

Hamster is now rather disappointed. He's was just thinking of polishing up his Oyster card and going to London Zoo tomorrow to try out Sue's idea on the camels.

Ah the folly of youth. Has anyone seen my guinea fowl?

Hamster now wishes it to be known that his companion, the good-for-nothing Susie has drunk herself under the table, so he's retiring to his cage in disgust.

Are all the Fowls out of their beds this morning, or do they still sleep? Beverley is up and has already had a walk in the sunshine to school and back.

Petra too was up at first light as usual. She has fed her chickens and her geese and she had groomed her ponies. She has ridden the new dales pony and has spent an hour practising her recorders as well as having given a singing lesson. She thinks that she has earned a break and is therefore spending a little time at the computer reading forumites' latest news.

Petra is pleased that Maudie, one of her youngest geese, is sitting on a nest of fourteen eggs. Dagwood, the father, is being most attentive to Maudie.

Has Martin located the Queen wasp yet?

Petra thinks that Martin will surely be very tired indeed by now if the wasp is still residing in his bedroom. Petra thinks that Martin should call the bee police to rectify matters.

Sue is alarmed to discover that Queen wasps have a life span of up to 12 months.
Apparently badgers are their natural predators. Perhaps Martin should summon the Badger Brigade?

Petra would like to put in a request to be reincarnated as a large badger in her next life as she is allergic to wasps. Petra suggests also that Martin should amn himself with a can of wasp spray and two badgers.

Martin should be aware that Queen wasps seek out warm spots to make their nests. He should make a careful check of any such areas in his room.
