Off to Cornwall in the summer for 2 weeks. On a farm in a village called St. Teath. It's quite near to Port Issac where they film "Doc Martin" My biggest likes surfing, the little one likes sand castles, and we like the coastline.
Bev.

I did a series of concerts in Cornwall many years ago and we played on in a little church at St Teath. We all christened him the Patron Saint of dentists! It was on that tour that the mouthpiece of one of my recorders began to crack open mid performance of a Vivaldi piece. biggrin.gif

Bad luck. Was it a wooden recorder?? Why would that happen?
Bev.

Yes, it was a very expensive wooden alto. It began to crack the day before, probably because of all the extra work that I had made it do. The church was cold and I was blowing lots of warm air into it and as I played I could hear the crack opening up. It continued to open for the next couple of days and I had it fixed very neatly by a specialist repairer when I returned home. I use the recorder still.
