I thought, since we always feel better about it when people say things we know to us than us saying them to ourselves, and since Soph has been feeling a bit down recently, it would be good to start a thread where we put down everything that we love about her, and what her biggest achievements have been. That way, when she feels down, she can come and look at it and feel better.

So here's the list:

She got distinction in her grade 3
She lived did her performance and survived it!
She won at Awards Evening.
She finished all of her coursework, even after she lost it.
She's managed duets and played with piano accopmpaniment


These are just some of her achievements. I'm sure we can add to the list; and please do!!!!!

I survived a root canal!! A painful one at that... can i mention it?

Course you can!! They are very painful...

Especially, when he does half, and then you have to go back for the rest, where he doesnt give you a needle and then after all the pain decides he can finish it as he has ran out of stuff! Meaning having to go back again!

My dentist offered me this 'treat' but I wimped out and had the tooth removed instead.

Well to contribute to the thread... I haven't been able to read through due to essays... but has anyone mentioned how you were so brave with your composition? Not just managing to do it, but you were clearly upset and worried and you just got on with it and pulled it off... I think that's really brave some people would be too stressed and worried to get on with the work.

And very useful too - one of my friends is resitting this year because she couldn't do that with her textiles! Don't downplay your achievement...

and I'm fairly new anyway, so if I noticed so quickly it must be true!

I dont know how I managed my music at all, I am just pleased that I managed it

Swimming for me is something I love to do. My Dad has told me I am more confident in water than on land and I agree. Swimming allows me to be myself, without judgement from anyone.

Well... I have got up to Gold and did that in primary, I am proud of my achievement.

Soph, you can add anything that you want to! On one condition; it has to be positive, and the words "yes, but" are banned!

You are an amazing person Soph, and you need to remember that! I'm sure evryone around you, including your brother, is very proud of you, and glad that they have you around instead of someone else! I'm certainly proud of you that you get through so much and rise back up again.
