Good luck Nicki.
Don't focus on things that could go wrong, focus on the music message you're going to give the audience.
And don't worry about not being nervous. It's not compulsory.

All the best Nicki! We're all thinking of you here. Positive mental attitude - take some time beforehand to visualise yourself in your recital playing your best and giving a fantastic performance. This will help set you up and boost your confidence to do well.
And do pop back later on if you have the energy and let us know how you think it went!
Best wishes

Nicki I'm sure you'll be fine. A few butterflies before hand is fairly normal. Keep focussed and play your best, you can't do better than that...oh and treat yourself afterwards. If you know you have your favourite treat to look forward to as a "reward" somehow you play better. (The Cream buns after my year 1 second study exams certainly worked a treat!)

Hi Niki

with today, I'm sure you'll be great
Just remember if you feel nervous you are smart and talented I mean there are some people out there who need sarah-flute so explain what an A2 recital actually is

Made even more embarrasing by the fact I have 4 A2 levels myself
Not in common sense though obviously
Let us know how it goes

No, I'm at home!

Get away from your computer, and go for a walk somewhere where you can relax. Go clothes shopping, get a coffee out, just do somtheing that isn't fretting. However make sure you do arrive on time.

There was the odd slip, which anyone does, but nothing major even in the darn Hummel (and the syncopation wasn't quite right, but never mind!)
The oddest thing was I feel so blank and emotionless, and apart from getting cramp in my foot in the middle, didn't really have any extreme nerves

I know it is marked differently, but I felt I played so much better than my AS recital, and I got 81/90 for that, so hopefully I've done ok
