Er - I think the three you mention are Beatrix Potter! The Watch with Mother rabbits were Rag, Tag and Bobtail...

People of a certain vintage *ahem* can recite 'Monday - Picture Book, Tuesday - Andy Pandy, Wednesday - Bill and Ben, Thursday - Rag, Tag and Bobtail, and Friday - The Woodentops'!

I just adored Spotty Dog in the Woodentops - he makes me laugh laugh.gif . I caught a 'Grumpy Old Women' prog being repeated the other day and one of the things they were talking about was how, when you reach a certain age *ahem ahem* you start doing an 'old lady run' which is 'where only the bottom half of your body moves and you run like Spotty Dog'. That just cracked me up totally as they juxtaposed a clip of an actress demonstrating said old-lady-run with Spotty Dog running laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif .

Ok, whilst we are talking about old programmes. Does anyone remember the Val Doonican Show? My Mum loved him. He used to sing in a cream hand knitted jumper in a rocking chair. When I was about 5, I could sing a song of his called " Paddy McGinty's Goat" laugh.gif
Then she also usd to like a man called Roger Whittaker, same type of singing really.
Oh, and does anyone remember Nana Mouskouri, she was Greek, had a nice voice I seem to remember biggrin.gif Wonder if they are still around now??
