Hi - I'm about to put my first pupil in for grade 4 jazz sax (and yes Violina - before you slate me - I do play sax). Can someone tell me what sort of 'standard' they are expecting in the quick study responses. Thanks

Generally, I'd say that they are expecting you to quickly make sense of the idiom and rhythm of the bit they have printed, and then to add your response in a similar style to that of the beginning.
