I've just got back from Keswick Jazzfest - what a great event! hurrah.gif Was anyone else there?

The music wasn't cool, and it probably wasn't hot either, but it was such FUN!!! And the performers looked to be enjoying themselves so much biggrin.gif John Maddocks spent most of his time in altissimo clarinet wub.gif , Enrico Tomasso was brilliant as ever on trumpet, Amy Roberts isn't yet out of her teens but she's a brilliant sax player and is now leading a jazz band and was the talk of the festival, the Keswick School Jazz band could hold their own with any of the professionals, and it was great as well meeting up with people who I've met at other jazzfests or at jazz clubs in the region.

Not only that, but I spent an hour in a brilliant Oxfam shop where they had a whole section of music books and sheet music woot.gif

So all in all, it was, er, quite good I suppose ... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Sorry to bore everybody with this! Did anyone else go? biggrin.gif

Yeah it was alright I suppose, it passed a weekend anyway laugh.gif

Violinia, if you see this, I met up with a couple who I'd first met at Bude and it turned out that they'd seen you at Swanage (they thought) about 3 or 4 years ago, and they'd enjoyed you so much that they bought your CD - they thought you were brilliant biggrin.gif
