My teacher is amazing, I am so pleased that I have her. She is so much better than any other teacher I have had.

Well, the flute teacher i had before the one i have now was really lovely and she used to make the lessons really fun, but she left to be a primary school teacher. sad.gif

Then i got a new flute teacher and i really didn't like him at first, but he's okay now. I still want my old teacher back though! tongue.gif

It's not always easy to get used to a new teacher, especially if you got on really well with the previous one.
Getting to know new people takes time and when you only see them for a short time each week getting used to one another can be a slow process. And then some people are easier to get to know than others. dry.gif

Well ever since the really great teacher left, our Music Department in school has gone to the dogs and that is really worrying as I am going to be having Music every day this year and I only used to have it twice a week at school before:(

I have a lovely music teacher now who shares my enthusiasm and determination to pass my grades. I met him 2 years ago and he has helped my playing tremenously.

However I havent been so lucky in the past. When i had tuiton at my secondary school the flute teacher was awful. When playing a piece instead of focusing on articulation and rhythm she would only point out slurs and dynamics. I didnt do well with her and only just passed my exam. I think its very bad because my school is an arts collage so they should get the best teachers really!

The same has happened at my school. A really good music teacher left my school and was replaced by a teacher who wasn't as good. It's so annoying cos i got on really well with the other teacher and she really helped me a lot when she was there, and I don't feel like i've got anywhere this year. sad.gif (she wasn't the same music teacher as my flute teacher, by the way!)

That happened at my school too. the music teacher that left was a wonderful woodwind player and started up all kinds of ensambles that always performed at our school concert. They year after she left our school ocncert was really bad! It can make such a difference if one person leaves!

(T_T) This happened this year! One of the music teachers, whos also a fab woodwind player left our school!! I was in shock because first of all, she taught me flute, so i will never forget that! + she got me into stage band! i was so happy (T_T) . SHe makes the music department ROCK!! She's like THE music teacher ..

but my piano teacher is great too smile.gif altho she's a little soft spoken, she believes that i can make it to music college, even tho i started really late! and she makes sure i get this done or learn this by a certain date smile.gif

its so rock n roll
My old flute teacher was AWFUL. but then i got a private teacher and she is amazing i mean like the BEST but now she's left and I don't have a teacher sad.gif so I'm kinda teaching myself at the moment unsure.gif . My Clarinet teacher is pretty kewl to...you can have a real laugh in his lessons.

i've written this before, but i had a rubbish flute teacher, and she had the most appauling posture i had ever seen! when she played the flute, her flute was held down, her back was bent, her fingers and everything was limp, and she bent her knees! the worst thing of all is that the corridor of music rooms smelt of her breath, which smelt of pee and sick! she told me to hold the flute up and to keep my back straight and to breath deeply, and she doesn't do any of that herself! apparently, she was a singing teacher and then when she came to this school, i think she was new and had just taken up the flute! then after one year, it was great because she left and i had a new flute teacher who is brilliant! she's young and bright, and sometimes she can even spend up to maybe half the lesson (the lesson's 40 minutes) talking about really random stuff, like shopping?

My old piano teacher was very sweet but a really awful teacher, the one I've got now is really wonderful and I'm so glad that I changed before my grade 8!!!

I can empathise with you on this! My piano teacher was very timid and wouldn't point out your mistakes so as a result I never learnt anything with her and couldn't read music by the time I left. I have a great piano teacher now though. Our music teachers at school are amazing and have influenced me such a lot, but one of them is leaving and we're worried that our headmistress wont get a replacement as one of the drama teachers left and she didn't bother getting a replacement so they've got rid of drama! I hope she doesn't get rid of music or I'll scream!!! ohmy.gif CRHS is going down the plughole!
My flute teacher is the best though! She's really, really strict but she's such a good teacher!! biggrin.gif
