but the metoerologists manufactured rain yesterday - sent a plane over some clouds and sprinkled rain seeds. It caused thunder and lightning and a rain shower lasting about 20 mins.

I was working on a sculpture in the garden yesterday in a T-shirt and have rather bad sunburn on my arms and one side of my neck Serves me right for not paying attention to that burning feeling!!!!! .. but I was carried away with what I was doing.

Now I have to stay covered up or stay indoors today because it's so painful

Someone commented on my sun tan yesterday!

Odd...the feeling you get when a storm's brewing.

It's been quite sunny here this afternoon, and then at 5 oclock we had the most cracking thunderstorm with hailstones and a heavy downpour.

Not quite as good as yesterday, there were even a few spots of rain in the morning. But still overall a nice day.

HOT, especially in the City today - 29 degrees, according to my car...

Wet and not very warm which is grossly unfair as the rest of France has sun - or so the weather man says.

I'm not much further north than you and it was supposed to be cool and wet but in the end it was warm and sunny with fluffy white clouds.

I think however, it would have been better if it had rained as I took my children out to ride their bikes (having promised I would on the first non-rainy day) and the younger one fell off - cut her lip (both on the inside and the outside) and grazed her chin, hand, elbow and knee

Today we've had a lot of cloud, but it's been quite warm, and at the minute, it's clear skies.
hopefull we'll have decent wheather tomorow, because my parents are insisting we go to the beach with my aunty and uncle.

We had an absolutely crashing thunder storm yesterday! I found it really alarming and retreated to the sofa for an hour with my equally unhappy dogs! The burn (dyke) burst its banks for a couple of hours because the water was just running straight off the dry fields. Quite scary!

Hot and sunny this morning and afternoon - thunder rumbling continuously in the distance - dark clouds loomed up at 4pm then the temperature dropped dramatically and since 5pm we have had thunder and rain like stair-rods

Horribly warm

Decided to go fell walking yesterday and caught in a thunderstorm - not much shelter at the top of a hill

Got to work today and everybody was sunburnt and nobody believed that I'd been soaked through to the skin and had a sore eye from where a gigantor hailstone got me

Left Wirral 6.15 in bright sunshine though temp was only 9 degrees.
Got duller as I went round Manchester, and completely clouded over. It wa salso quite windy on top of M62.
Arrived Headingley 8.15, still overcast and still inly 13 degrees. Has got a bit warmer since.
