It's been an absolutely gorgeous day!
I was up early and it was great to see the darkness turn to light and the mist hovering over parks as I drove into the City.
By the time I left the Barbican the Lakeside was full of people eating outside and wearing T-shirts. Coming home, the soft light made the autumnal colours of the trees absolutely glow..
Heavenly. Just wish I'd been on a boat on the river instead of in the concrete confines of the Barbican..

Just back from the park - it's been brilliant here for the past few days. About 20 ° here too today (SE London). I'm so glad I didn't put away all my summer stuff last week. As I only work till 1:00 pm on Sats, I had the whole afternoon to enjoy this fab weather . Shame it gets dark just after 6:00 already..

Bagpuss dropped round after she'd finished teaching and we spent a lovely hour or so sitting in the garden, mulling over Life as sisters do..and it was really HOT in the sun!!
Sadly, I think that might have been the last of the truly lovely days...

After a disappointing summer, it's nice there's been a few weekends with decent weather to finish up with.
Hopefully 2009 will be more summery...

Headingley is similar to Wirral posted earlier, but its was aslo quite foggy over the M62.
