Sunny again!
That's what I was hoping for today after yesterday's splendour, but no, I was woken by the rain bouncing off the roof of the neighbour's garage

A typical but delightful British summer's day - full of fluffy cumulous cloud, sunshine and showers.
Pretty typical of N. Ireland full stop.

Dark clouds looming, but no actual rain (yet). On tenterhooks as kids have sports day this pm. One is praying for rain, the other 2 are desperate to compete!! Either way, someone will be disappointed

Very pleasant on the Wirral this morning. A few white clouds and blue sky, slight breeze making it feel nice and fresh.

Yesterday I went off to play organ for an 11 o'clock service in Hoylake. At 10.40 I was discussing the service with the Minister, who said the Childrens Hymn would be from a different hymn book , Junior Mission Praise- 'Mr Noah he built an Ark'. Right on cue at that moment there was a clap of thunder and a violent thunderstorm which lasted about 20 mins until the service began.
Only about 15 people turned up instead of 40 or so. I guess they were about to leave thier homes when the thunderstorm started. Admittedly there are quite a lot of elderly ladies among our usual congregation.

Just taken the dog for a walk, and got caught in a torrential downpour. I sheltered under a tree with said dog, and finally it eased off, then as I was walking back to the car there was a dreadful hailstorm. Dog was terrified, and I was soaked.
