I was about to post the same thing.

I had to cycle home from school (Sawston to Shelford - 3 miles) in the rain. By the time I got home I looked like a drowned rat.

Very wet. Thankfully Mum decided to bring in the washing from the line about 5 minutes before it started raining! (which is good, as it had already experienced a rather large storm yesterday evening/night)

Wet and thundery

But at least there's hardly any wind, and I didn't get wet whilst I was out doing my piano exam...

Cooling down quite a lot. But quiet- so no rain, and no wind rushing through the trees.

...and there was the weather forecasters telling us - earlier this year - that 2009 wasn't going to be another washout like the last two.

I'm off to Malvern tomorrow for a horse show. I suspect the showground will be be knee-deep in mud and need a sou'wester to prevent the rain from running down the back of my neck

....and now the Met Office have officially been left with egg on their faces. See
HEREThey claim they were partly right, 'cos we had a few days at the end of June that were scorching. I guess that WAS our summer then?!
The nights are starting to draw in and we can all look forward to

soon.
I really hate the climate in this country

so please don't anyone say "but all the lovely lush greenery is so beautiful". No it's not, quite frankly I'd rather be somewhere hot, dry, dusty and not a leaf in sight - no grass cutting no hedge trimming... bliss!
