Hazy sky, quite pleasant on the Wirral, but not all that warm for this time of year, about 18C
Quite warm today with an occasional shower 
Just got back (actually about an hour ago) from driving my son to Liverpool Airport in the driving rain before the dawn: Stopped raining now but still cold, windy wet and grey (as in "Shall I compare thee to a summers day? You fit the bill: Cold, windy, wet and grey!")
Wirral was as Robodoc described, but its a bit brighter now, but very cold for August!

It's the same here, now.
Left Wirral at 6.45 and it was absolutely chucking it down, however gradually improved over the M62, and its actually quite bright and fine at the moment in Headingley, partly cloudy.
